This serves twelve–at our house that means leftovers. They will be eaten. These Crock-Pot® Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes will be a first-time recipe for me (as you recall, my daughter hates bell peppers and you need them for proper cheesesteak) because I needed to wait for my daughter to be out of the house to make them. I intend to do some things to mitigate some of the issues people who replied had. First, I intend to use paper towels to absorb some of the liquid from the onions and peppers. Second, I’m not using tomato paste. Third, I will make my brown gravy from a mix and use less water than it calls for to make a thicker gravy so that, hopefully, I won’t need to apply cornstarch at the end. I am on Shelly’s Cookies & Cups email list so I get periodic recipes in my inbox. While a lot of it is desserts, some of it is dinners like this (and very tasty ones).
